Abortion Pills In Al-Ain

Abortion pills are available in Al-Ain. There is a dire need to understand the functioning and uses of these pills to get effective results. The elements which are included to form are mainly consist of Mifepristone blocks the action of progesterone (a hormone needed to maintain pregnancy) in the uterus and softens the cervix to make pregnancy easier to pass. Misoprostol makes the uterus contract and squeezes out the pregnancy. This is similar to what happens when a person has a miscarriage.

If both drugs are available, mifepristone is given first, and then misoprostol is given 1-2 days later. Mifepristone is always swallowed. Misoprostol is given by mouth to dissolve, between the cheek and gums or under the tongue. Note: Misoprostol should not be given vaginally and should never be given to you.

Mifepristone is only available in a limited number of countries worldwide. Mifepristone is often packaged with misoprostol and sold as a combination medicine for abortion only.

Misoprostol is more widely available worldwide, cheaper than mifepristone and easier to buy in pharmacies and drugstores. In addition to being used to induce abortion, misoprostol is also used to treat ulcers and to prevent or treat heavy bleeding after childbirth, so it is usually easier to buy without a prescription.

Misoprostol is the clinical name of the drug, but internationally it is sold under many different trade names such as Cytotec, Misoclear, Misotac, Kontrac and Isovent.

What Does Mifepristone In Combination With Misoprostol Look Like?

If mifepristone is available, it is usually sold with misoprostol as a ‘combination pack’. Combination packs are rarely counterfeit and should look like this.

What Is A ‘Blister Pack’ And Why Is It Important?

“Blister packaging is a way of packaging medicines in which individual tablets are sealed in a ‘bubble’ between two layers of material. The most common materials used for blister packaging are cardboard, plastic and aluminium.

Misoprostol becomes less effective when the tablets are exposed to heat and moisture. For this reason, misoprostol should be sealed in a double aluminium blister pack (aluminium on the top and bottom) rather than in a cardboard or plastic pack. You are unlikely to find legal or effective misoprostol stored in a cardboard, plastic or loose tablet bottle.

A double aluminium blister pack should look something like this. Make sure that the aluminium is not open on either side until you are ready to take the tablets.

How Many Tablets Should I Buy?

If you have both mifepristone and misoprostol, you will need 1 mifepristone tablet 200 mg and at least 4 misoprostol tablets of 200 mcg. If you are 10-12 weeks pregnant, you may need to take 1 or 2 extra doses (4 or 8 extra tablets) of misoprostol to complete the abortion process. If you only have misoprostol, you will need at least 12 misoprostol tablets of 200 mcg each if your pregnancy is less than 13 weeks.

How Do I Know If The Pills Are Real And Not Fake?

Even if you ask for abortion pills by name, such as misoprostol or mifepristone, some medicine sellers may try to sell you fake pills that will not work and may delay the abortion. Safe, effective abortion pills should:

  • tablets or pills, NOT capsules
  • packed in an undamaged, ideally double aluminium blister pack.
  • sold in a pharmacy or by a medicine seller you trust.

not expired (expiry date must be on the packaging)
